Tata Avinya is a pure electric vehicle based on its Gen 3 architecture. It is expected to be launched in India by the first half of 2025. It is likely to be priced from Rs. 30 lakh onwards.
Tata Passenger Electric Mobility proudly showcases on 29 April 2022, its new vision, a concept that is based on its pure EV architecture, confirmed for production by Shailesh Chandra, MD, TPEM. Taking a step forward in redefining its position in the EV space.
What is in the Gen3 Architecture used in AVINYA
Gen3 architecture, a machine that is engineered to be smart, spacious, sustainable yet techy, offers this concept with a flexible design while boasting of next-generation connectivity, advanced driver assistance systems, and enhanced performance and efficiency. It also offers high structural safety and has the next level of waterproofing and dust protection, making it ready for all-weather as well as all forms of terrains.
Moreover, this architecture is built with next-generation materials, efficient electronic componentry, and great energy management strategies and algorithms for efficiency management.
Furthermore, the battery used in this EV will support an ultra-fast charging capability. The overall concept to enhance range would be “Minimize- Maximize- Optimize”.
The Avinya is derived from the Sanskrit language, the name AVINYA stands for ‘Innovation’. The concept introduces a new side of mobility. It will be packed with new technologies, software, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) that work in the back end silently to deliver wellness and tranquility during the ride. This new Gen3 enabled the first market-ready Tata EV will arrive by 2025.
As per the company, this new concept electric vehicle will be equipped with some great features. some of them are
- Focus on maximizing the interior space.
- Premium design theme.
- The design is a combination of car body styles like hatchback, an MPV, and a crossover.
- promise a minimum range of 500km.
- A significant highlight on the front and the rear of the vehicle is a new identity.
- ‘Butterfly’ doors that welcome you with open arms.
- Inspired steering wheel.
- Fast charging is enabled that can be charged in less than 30 minutes.
- Cameras and Sensors.
- A set of LED tail-lights and a LED light bar run along the length of the tail-gate.
- No infotainment screen rather it may use voice commands.
Tata Motors has a lion’s share in the electric vehicle market in India as the company started research & development work way before other companies. Tata Nexon Ev and Tata Tigor EV have been doing quite well in the market. But it is Tata, while both these models are present in the market, Tata Motors appears determined to lock its leadership position in the times to come as well.
Earlier the company unveiled its electric SUV concept called the Tata CURVV with a promise to launch within the next two years. Now the company showcased another concept electric car with a message that reads: ‘A New Paradigm’. The last concept car is called “AVINYA”.
